About
Hi, Joerg here!
My professional journey has spanned over two decades in the B2B software industry. Currently, I help teams with software product management.
As one of my fun projects, I promote the GPS framework as an alternative to user stories and for general task management in remote-first environments. You can read more about it here.
Overall, I focus on pragmatic, lightweight PM processes without ceremonies or frequent direct meetings. As a fan of remote work, I strive for high individual autonomy to maximize focus time for everyone on the team. Oh yeah, and I like having fun in uncomplicated, down-to-earth settings …
I am not “deeply passionate” or “super crazy” about product management. There’s so much talk and fight about what agile is, what framework to use for prioritization, how to best write user stories, etc. I find these debates tiring and don’t want to get pulled into that. I stumbled into the PM role many years ago and noticed I could fill a few gaps. I enjoy supporting engineers so they can do their stuff, keeping an eye on the big picture (while paying close attention to UX/UI details), and experimenting with simplistic workflows to get stuff done without the drama.
That’s it in a nutshell.
I recently started blogging again in my spare time. It’s an experiment, just for fun. The initial trigger was that I could not find much content about lean product development processes, mainly geared toward smaller companies in remote settings.
Anyway. If you have any questions, drop me a line. 🙂👋
